De l’utilité du ver de terre

Selon un rapport du ministère de l’environnement Irlandais, les vers de terre rapportent 700 millions d’euros par an à l’Irlande en purgeant la terre des matières mortes tout en en libérant les nutriments. Les vers de terre ont une valeur inestimable puisqu’ils aident à enfouir le fumier de sept millions de bovins, qui rejettent plus de neuf tonnes d’excréments par an, est-il précisé dans ce rapport.
